Tim & Courtney // Townsville Wedding

Tim & Courtney // Townsville Wedding

This was quite a special wedding for me to shoot. It had been one that I was waiting for, for a couple years due to Covid-19. I first had the privilege of shooting Tim and Courtney in 2020 for their engagement shoot. The later that year I got a few more snaps of them at their University Law Ball. I remember the excitement on both their face as they discussed the potentials of their big day on the dirt road where we shot their engagement.

Cut to the big day and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day that represented the both of them so well. It was lovely intimate occasion with family and the closest of friends held at sovereign House in Townsville. It was relaxed and emotional and much filled with love. It was perfect in every sense of the word.

Once the ceremony was completed and loved ones had said their congratulations, we zipped off to take family portraits. To make it a full circle we went back to where we had shot the engagement photos 2 years prior. It was a lovely dirt road with loads of shadowy natives and rich earthy tones. My favourite part about this particular location is there is a small walk out through the trees and you find yourself in this beautiful marshland area that is simply stunning just as the sun is about to set. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to wait around for it though for as soon as we wrapped up the family portraits it was time to move onto the the bridal portraits.

Tim and Courtney chose to have their bridal portraits atop of castle hill in the heart of the city, A choice I am thrilled they made. While it may have been wild and windy at the top the weather and the sky decided to cooperate and provided the most stunning backdrop for some very special and intimate moments. (And some funny ones too.)

Once we had finished with the bridal portraits it was time to return to the sovereign house and party! It was a magical night, filled with good times, great food and a wonderful coupled celebrated by loved ones.
