A Night among the turtles // JBOYS Annual Charity Ball 2019

Before I knew it another year had passed and the JBOYS had come around again. It’s one of my favourite events to shoot because its such a fun and relaxed vibe and everyone is just, HAPPY! I know I say this for every year when I write about the JBOYS ball, but I can’t begin to explain what happened.

Barb, the founder of JBOYS, had smashed through the ceiling and taken it to new heights, when it come to decorating. As you’ll see from the images below, the ballroom had been transformed into an oceanic reef dreamscape. The attention to detail put into this years decorations (Which were almost all made by Barb and her husband Tony) was mind boggling. From the Turtle silhouettes above to the centrepieces and fairy lights around the room, to the giant floating jellyfish hovering from the ceiling. Personally my favourite touch was the clear balloons looking like bubbles that literally made the room feel like you were underwater. Celebrity Chefs Matt Golinski and Glen Barratt also returned once again to serve up some delicious food, adding to the memorability of the night.
